About Us

Born, raised, and trained in Germany, Bernie came to the United States in 1994. He worked as a Chef at “Le Cordon Bleu”, “Nicole St. Pierre”, and “Bistro Cappuccino” until he opened his own “Aubergine Bistro” in 1999. Getting tired of the long hours in restaurant life, he sold his Bistro in 2006 and started cooking for Corporate America.

Homesick for this own kitchen, he is now here in beautiful Oviedo at Bernie’s Gourmet To Go… serving YOU high quality, healthy cuisine you can afford.
